Moving out of Miki-Town
Notification Requirements (if moving from Miki-Town to another municipality)
Notification period
Notification should be provided prior to moving or within 14 days after moving.
What to bring
- Your personal stamp (seal)
- ID (e.g. driving license, passport)
Your registred personal stamp will be automatically invalidated when you move out of Miki Town. After you move to your new town, you are required to re-register your stamp.
If you have national health insurance, long term care insurance, a national pension, or small children at the time of the move, you are required to carry out certain procedures for each, at the designtated section. For fuither details please click on the subjects below:
- National health insurance
- Long Term Care insurance
- National pension
- Parent or Guardian of small children
Applicant
The person moving or the head of the household.
Notification can be made at:
- Citizen's Division, Miki Town Office
- The Kamiyama, Tanaka or Ido Branch Offices
Notifications can be made between:
08:30 to 17:15 (we regret that notifications cannot be accepted after hours: on Saturdays, Sundays or National holidays)
Notification via mail
Ideally, moving-out notification should be submitted to the town office before you move out. However, extenuating circumstances can prevent this (for example a sudden or unexpected move) – in this case you can request a moving-out certificate via mail.
Upon receiving your request form, Miki Town Office will send you a moving-out certificate. This will be required when submitting a moving-in notification at your new local office. Note that other procedures (national insurance, national pension, etc) besides the moving-out notification should be carried out at the office as usual.
How to apply
Send a stamped, self-addressed envelope together with your moving-out certificate request form and a copy of your ID(e.g. driving licence or passport) to the Miki Town Office Citizens Division via mail. Request forms can be downloaded via the link below.
