Septic tank

(1) Subsidy procedure

Miki-Town subsidizes, within its budget, people who install a merger-processing septic tank (for 5 to 50 person) in any residence in the subsidy target area.  If you wish to receive this subsidy, please contact the Waterworks Division in Miki Town office.
Because subsidies are limited, they are issued on a first-come-first-served basis.

The following people are ineligible for subsidy

• Anyone making an installation without recieving an inspection based on the article 1 of clause 5 of the Private Sewerage System Law; anyone installing it without recieving an inspection based on the article 1 of clause 6 of the Building Standards Law
• Anyone who can not finish the work within the subsidy period
• Anyone who builds a residence specifically for sale
• Anyone who rents a house and installs it without the owners approval
• Anyone who has established a septic tank already
• Others

(2) Areas that will not be subsidized

• Areas covered by the Agricultural Drainage System
  (Including planned areas, but excluding areas to be processed in the future)

(3) The septic tanks suitable for subsidization and the amount of money available

• The tank must be a merger processing septic tank.
• The merger processing septic tank processes both body waste and drainage. Its biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) removal percentage should be 90 % or more, and the volume of discharge water should be 20 mg / liter (daily average) or less.

(5) Necessary documentation for the grant application (Form No. 1)

• A written application form for a septic tank subsidy
• Copies of the architecture confirmation notification of the septic tank installation notification.
• Map of the surroundings of the installation site
• Plumbing drawing of the septic tank
• Letter of acceptance from the owner (if you are a tenant of the land, the house etc)
• Copy of the registration card of the registered septic tank and the management slip (Slip C)
• Guarantee and registration form (for the municipal office)
• Others

(6) Necessary documentation for the grant application (Form No. 2)

• Performance report
• Copy of the form of the outsourcing contract with the septic tank maintenance company
• Copy of the form of the outsourcing contract with the septic tank cleaning company
• Copy of the letter of request for septic tank legal inspection
• Copy of receipts related to the subsidy work
• Status photograph of the septic tank construction
• Others
